Partners
Des commenced auctioneering in 1965 and has over fifty years continuous experience in the business. He is responsible for the commercial department including residential, industrial, commercial and agricultural land sales, retail sales and lettings and investment. He is an associate of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and the Society Of Chartered Surveyors Ireland, former Fellow of the Irish Auctioneers and Valuers Institute, a former President of Junior Chamber Waterford, Waterford Rotary Club and former chairman of the South East Branch of the Irish Auctioneers and Valuers Institute. Des has made several contributions on a national level to media debate on property issues.
Conor is an associate member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and the Society Of Chartered Surveyors Ireland. He is a former chairman of the South Eastern Young Members SCSI and is a regular contributor to the local press on the local property market and has had numerous articles published. Conor joined the firm in 2002 and since then has worked in all areas of the business. He currently runs the residential department and handles all residential sales, both new and previously owned.
Sales and administration staff
Petrina is a native of Dunmore East, although she currently resides in Waterford City. After gaining her Degree in Valuations & Management from LIT, Petrina began her career as a residential sales negotiator in Dublin where she worked with Sherry FitzGerald and Flynn & Associates. She returned to Waterford in 2003 where she took up a position with Purcell Properties as a senior sales negotiator. Petrina also has a Degree in Applied Conservation and has a huge interest in the restoration and refurbishment of older buildings.
Niamh joined the team at Purcell Properties in 2021 after completing her business degree in Tourism Management in MTU. She is now working alongside Conor and Petrina as an Auctioneering & Property Services Apprentice where she hopes to gain her qualification in 2023.
Emma joined Purcell Properties in 2012 and works with Conor in residential sales. Emma has substantial experience in the property sector, including an administrative role in a multi-national property company.
Esther is our Accounts Manager. She joined Purcell Properties in 1998 having previously worked in a long-established accounting practice in Co. Tipperary. Esther is PA to Des Purcell, and is responsible for reception and general office administration.
Marketing Support Team
As MD of vitamin.ie, a full service graphic and web design agency, David and his team have worked with Purcell Properties since 2015. In 2021, David and his team designed and developed the new Purcell Properties website and brand identity.
A young Waterford based Photographer and videographer. Thomas has been working with Purcell Properties since 2018 with his business Thomas Grace Photography TGP. Thomas is a licensed drone operator and holder of a Level 8 honors degree in visual communications. Thomas has always had a keen eye for space, light and architecture, which he now showcases in his high-end real estate photography, videos and virtual tours
Edel graduated University of East London in 2001 with a degree in Communications. She worked as a magazine journalist and then a brand communications manager in the UK before returning to Ireland 2016 to join the Purcell Properties team.
